Staff Profiles New Zealand

Hi I’m Caryl and have been with Southern World since September 2006.  I’ve had a real passion for travel ever since I lived in Africa for 2 years as a child and have travelled to many places since then.   In 2002 I spent a year in Costa Rica as an AFS exchange student. It was an amazing experience where I learned to speak fluent Spanish, which I’m also currently studying as an Arts degree at the University of Auckland. Travelling overseas made me realise how amazing New Zealand really is and I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled to many places throughout the country.

I’m originally from a small town in the Far North of New Zealand, which is also my favourite place to travel for a trip away.  Warm weather all year round and undoubtedly the most beautiful remote beaches make it a great place to relax from   busy Auckland!

In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends and family and the outdoors – especially the beach in the summer time!
