World Bowls Singles Champion of Champions 2006
The 4th staging of ths event will be held at the Fendalton Bowling Club Christchurch New Zealand 25 November to 02 December 2006 and will be made up of 50 of the men’s and women’s winners of national championships from all the bowling nations around the world. The very successful 2005 competition was held at the same venue 19-26 November 2005. Eventual winners were England's Mark Walton and Malaysia's Nor Iryani Azmi.

World Asia Pacific Champs
Held every two years the 12th Asia Pacific Bowls Championship will be held in Christchurch New Zealand 13-21 January 2007. The event will be held at the Burnside and Fendalton Bowling clubs and will include approx 16 teams from throughout the Asia and Pacific regions. This event will also be a qualifying tournament for the 2008 World Bowls to be held in Christchurch 12-27 January 2008.

2007 World Schools Golf Challenge
Christchurch New Zealand will be host to the inaugural World Schools Golf Challenge April 07 – 15 2007.
Players will be pupils from secondary schools and colleges (aged from 13 to 19 years) and will attract 50 teams, boys, girls or mixed from schools from the USA, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, Asia, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand and will be a four round stroke play tournament with both team and individual competitions.
Southern World New Zealand is proud to have been appointed official tourism provider to the World Schools Golf Challenge and looks forward to welcoming competitors, supporters and spectators to Christchurch in April 2007.

World Champs 2008
The 11th World Bowls Championship will be held in Christchurch New Zealand 12 to 27 January 2008 and for the first time both the men's and women's events will be held together at the same venue. Headquarters for this event will be at the Burnside Bowling Club which will also host the opening and closing ceremonies along with finals and medal presentation. The Fendalton Bowling Club and Bowls Papanui will also host some of the section play.
